Site Spotlight - WildOrchids!
Live cam websites are a great invention. Whoever first had the idea to put live chicks in a room with a cam and allow us to watch them, talk to them and tell them what to do was truly a genius. However, there are four very important things to look at when discussing a cam site, so let's see how WildOrchids does on these counts.
Number one, how many models are available? On this count, WildOrchids does good but not great. Now, I can only judge based on when I was logged in, but at that time there were about 30 babes live on cam. However, there are over 750 babes in the models directory, so I assume that at peak hours you can find many more to chat with then I did.
Number two, how do the chicks look? On this count, PrivateFeeds does much better. These models were gorgeous. I checked out most of their bios and saw that they were all from Eastern Europe and man did it make me want to go buy a plane ticket. From dark-haired babes, to blond big-boobed bombshells, the variety was nice and that's only among the 30 that were online at the time.
Number three, what's the price! Cost is really the only area where the site gets negative marks. Like many live cam sites, WildOrchids works with the credit system. You start in free chat where the chicks will tease you and chat with you, but if you want them fully nude, you'll need to pay. Depending what you want to do, it will cost you a certain amount of credits. For example, going private with a model will cost you 5 credits per minute, whereas it is only 2 credits for a semi-private show. There are also couples online sometimes and going private with them is 7.5 credits. The number of credits doesn't really mean anything obviously, until you find out how much they cost. There are four different price/credit packages available, but overall it basically comes out to around $6 a minute. I have to say that this does seem a little on the high end when compared to other cam sites I have reviewed, but considering the next point, it might be worth the money.
Number four, what's the image/cam quality! Let me tell you what happened when I first signed onto the site. I signed in and up came the screen with the cam image and the chat box next to it. After about 5 seconds of loading, up came this gorgeous chick lying on a bed, smiling and typing on a keyboard. The picture wasn't as clear as I would have liked or as smooth. There was a static type feeling to the movements that you tend to see on regular webcams.
I was disappointed at this mediocre quality, especially as I scanned through the pictures of the other babes online. Then below the cam window, I saw a link/button that said, "switch to broadband video." I clicked on it and the cam image disappeared, reloaded and reappeared on the screen in front of me. What a change. This new image looked a lot better and the motion was much more fluid. However, while the broadband versions looked much better, the quality did vary a little from cam to cam.
I would still have to say that the price point is a little high. However, the good-looking cams and the great chicks do make a good case for you to try it out. Of course, you can check it all out for free before spending any money to see them naked.

Site Spotlight - CamContacts!
I have reviewed many a cam site in my time and Cam Contacts is a good one. It's a combination of sex and community type of sites. At first, because there isn't a typical home page filled with little live cam boxes I wasn't quite sure what CamContacts was all about, until I saw the "who's online now" button. I clicked it and everything started to make sense.
What appeared was a page filled with categories and little thumbnail pics. The two main categories are Adult and Non-Adult, although within those two there are many sub-categories as well. For example, in the non-adult section you have categories like friends and long-term or marriage, whereas in the adult section you can see girls home alone, girl-girl, girl-boy, boys home alone and gender benders to name a few. You can be having dirty nude chat one minute and then chatting with a possible wife the next. Pay attention to the categories because in the non-adult section there is no nudity at all. Not to worry though, because if you want nudity there is plenty of it in the adult one.
In total there are over 38 000 different chat hosts registered with the site, but they are obviously not all on at the same time. These are real people, mostly amateurs, who do this from their home and also make their own schedule. When I was online there were about 80 available in the non-adult sections and about 500 in the adult ones.
Although you do have to register and have a credit card (to confirm you're over 18), it is free to browse around, check out who is online, read their profiles and see photos they have taken during their cam shows. However, if you want to watch and chat with anyone live, you will have to pay, even for the girls that don't get naked and are just looking for friends or a relationship. Because each host works for themselves the prices do vary depending on the host, but in general every one I saw ranged from about 79 cents a minute to 2.99 per minute, with most hanging out in the 1-2 dollar range. The prices were a little more for the private one2one chats, but even then, 1-3 dollars is what you can expect.
Finally I should mention that even though each host is independent the quality for the most part was actually pretty good. If you have a cam you can do cam2cam chat with the host so she or he can see you. If you decide you want to be a host, all it takes is a camera, a filled out form, some software and you are good to go. With the great variety, the sexy real amateurs, the quality cams and the low prices, Cam Contacts is well worth your time.

Site Spotlight - Webcams!
Having reviewed many webcam sites, I have come to appreciate the pleasure one can get from watching a hot babe live on cam doing whatever you tell them. A video is great, but to have that chick live to interact with and watch in real time is that much closer to having them there in the room with you. This being the case, there are three important points to look at when reviewing a live cam site like Webcams: number of models, quality of cams and price. Let us take them one at a time.
As for the number of chicks available, Webcams does very well. In total, there are 16,000 models on the site. However, they're of course not all online at the same time. When I was online, at what would probably be a slow period in the day, I found 448 live cams online. Most of them were solo, but I counted at least 45 straight and lesbian couples as well. There are guys and trannies on the site also. There is also a 'galleries' section with about 1,500 short videos downloadable in mediocre Flash format.
Next, I went to the 'who's online' section. From there, I checked out a lot of the models (hey it's my job) and the interface is nice and easy. Plus, the screen size is good. I also found the quality of the cam image to be good overall. The only real negative was that I found, for some of the chicks, the movement to be a little choppy and really not as smooth as I have seen on other sites. Notice I said 'some' though. This is because it really does depend on the babe you pick.
I was also happy to find that most of the models I connected with were more than willing to get to the good stuff right away without lots of needless chatting if I didn't want it. This meant more bang for my buck. Speaking of the buck.
Finally, let us talk about price. As a member, you can purchase up to $100 worth of time in $25 increments. The per-minute price is very reasonable and given the amount of models online at any given time, you should have no problem finding some that interest you.
